      A recognised label

LuxFLAG is a Luxembourg based agency that grants labels to Microfinance and Environment investment funds. The objective of the label is to help raise capital from the public by granting a recognisable stamp.

As at mid December 2012 the six funds to have received the Environment Fund label, launched a year ago, represent USD 558m in assets under management. Twenty-five funds have received the Microfinance Fund label, with combined assets under management of USD 3.8 billion. This represents a quarter of the 102 microfinance investment vehicles (MIV) worldwide and 50% of all assets under management in MIV (source: Microrate (1)).

How to apply for a Label

Information on the individual funds is available on the LuxFLAG website: www.luxflag.org. The site details the eligibility criteria and an application form can be downloaded by applicant investment funds. Applications for the next round of reviews are invited to submit their forms by 13 February 2013 for the Microfinance Label and by 11 February 2013 for the Environment Label. ER
