New brochure: Luxembourg, Responsible Finance Platform
What is a responsible finance centre? One definition is the offer of skilled services to companies and individuals who have a responsible investing project, be it commercial or not for profit.
In its latest brochure, Luxembourg, Responsible Finance Platform, Luxembourg for Finance explains how existing financial sector expertise has been deployed to create opportunities for ethically motivated investors and philanthropists. The brochure identifies seven specific fields where public policy, often operating through a public private partnership, has been deployed to encourage initiative in a particular area.
These initiatives have resulted in the development of world-class areas of competence, such as the raising of private capital for investment in microfinance (51% of all assets worldwide are held in Luxembourg funds) the granting of classified labels to funds with responsible investment strategies (the LuxFLAG labelling agency) or the provision of expert services to assist private philanthropic activity (the Fondation de Luxembourg).
