European Finance Summit

Luxembourg for Finance will participate in the second edition of the European Finance Summit (EFS) on Thursday, 18 March 2021.

This online edition will bring together several local and international experts who will discuss the latest trends of the sector and exchange their best practices. The day titled “From Financial Leaders to Change Makers: Time to Renovate” will focus on  sustainable recovery and green transition.

The morning session will be focused on increasing the awareness and the need for a green recovery, it will consist in the sharing of several milestones and actions achieved so far. Experts will share their knowledge on how and why the climate risk is actually associated with financial risks, and will discuss the future we need to build to make our planet – as well as businesses – more sustainable, in Luxembourg and abroad.

The afternoon conference will be divided into four distinct parts. First, experts will participate in a session dedicated to the funds industry, discussing ESG, SRI, thematic funds, etc. The following session will focus on Wealth Management and Private Banking: how is sustainable finance shifting the investment industry? What is the role of UHNWI? More questions will be raised. Finally, the conference will end with a session dedicated to CFOs and treasurers: COVID-19 as a catalyst to sustainable processes, the role of Fintechs to accelerate transformation.

Nicolas Mackel, CEO of Luxembourg for Finance is honoured to give the Welcome Address at 9:10AM and Philipp von Restorff, Deputy CEO of Luxembourg for Finance will participate in the roundtable ‘The need for a green recovery’ at 9:30AM.
