The office will provide lending and financing solutions for institutional clients, including financial sponsors and related fund structures headquartered or domiciled in Luxembourg. It will also offer core banking services such as lending and trade finance.
Carla Antunes da Silva, CEO of Lloyds Bank Corporate Markets, said: “Europe is a strategically important region for our Corporate & Institutional Banking business, with clients increasingly treating the UK and Europe as one connected market for capital, financing and risk management.”
The opening reflects the continued importance of Luxembourg as a location for institutions serving clients with cross-border structures and multi-jurisdictional financing needs. As the EU’s leading centre for international investment funds, fund domiciliation and cross-border capital structures, Luxembourg is a key location for financial institutions operating across European and global markets.
Julienne Daglish, CEO of Lloyds Bank Corporate Markets Luxembourg, said: “Establishing a presence here allows us to support clients locally, while connecting them to our wider international network. As they continue to operate across multiple jurisdictions, this office enables us to deliver consistent, relationship-led banking across Europe and beyond.“
