Gilles Roth to take the reins as Luxembourg’s new Finance Minister

Following the elections held on October 8th a new coalition government have been sworn in under Prime Minister Luc Frieden, a former Finance Minister and Founder of Luxembourg for Finance of which he was the first Chairman from 2008 until 2013.

Gilles Roth, a member of Parliament and Mayor of Mamer Commune, will serve as Finance Minister and thus also be the Chairman of Luxembourg for Finance. Gilles Roth comes to this position with a wealth of experience as a member of the Parliament’s Budget and Finance Commission as well as from his prior position as Senior Government Advisor at the Ministry of Finance. A lawyer by training, Roth graduated from the Catholic University of Louvain.

Luxembourg for Finance welcomes our new chairman and looks forward to working closely with him to develop our financial industry.
