The programme, described as “one MBA, two locations,” will centre on Luxembourg’s financial ecosystem and is intended to address demand for qualified professionals across digital finance, AI, and regulatory compliance. It marks what Roth called the first step toward a permanent academic presence in Luxembourg.
The agreement was signed during a Luxembourg For Finance mission to Switzerland this week.
“In view of structural changes driven by digitalisation and AI, as well as increasing regulatory complexity and tougher global competition for talent, we are investing in the education and training of qualified professionals for our labour market and thus in our competitiveness,” Roth said.
St. Gallen’s business school consistently ranks among the top in Europe and has a long-standing specialism in financial services. The partnership bolsters Luxembourg’s existing academic offering at a moment when competition for skilled professionals across fund management, compliance, and fintech is intensifying across European hubs.
