Lynn Alzin is a Partner at Arendt & Medernach in Luxembourg and a member of the firm’s Finance & Capital Markets practice.

She advises clients on a broad range of international and domestic financing transactions, with particular expertise in fund financing, asset financing and real estate financing. She also supports clients in the structuring of regulated and unregulated securitisation vehicles, as well as in debt instrument issuances, including high-yield bonds.

She joined the Luxembourg Bar in 2009 and has built extensive experience advising both domestic and international clients on complex financing structures and transactions. From May 2012 to June 2013, she was seconded to the New York office of Arendt & Medernach, where she represented the Bank Lending & Structured Finance practice and contributed to the development of the Corporate Law, Mergers & Acquisitions practice by advising US clients on acquisitions, disposals and restructurings of businesses and assets.

Lynn holds several postgraduate law degrees, including a Master’s degree in Business Law from the University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas, a DESS and an Advanced Master’s degree (DJCE) in Business Law from Aix-Marseille III, and an LL.M. from University College London.

She is a member of the Association Luxembourgeoise des Juristes de Droit Bancaire (ALJB), the Fund Finance Association and Women in Fund Finance.

Nick Ashton is currently the Country Head of HSBC’s Global Payment Solutions for Luxembourg and a member of the Executive Committee.

He has worked for HSBC for over 25 years in a variety of roles in London, Zurich and Luxembourg, where he has been based for the last 4 years.

In his spare time, Nick is currently studying for a master’s degree in Sustainability Leadership with the Cambridge Institute of Sustainability Leadership (CISL).

Biagio Calabrese is Head of Corporate Finance & Advisory since January 2023.

In Intesa Sanpaolo since 2006, he held various roles in IMI CIB Division: from February 2019 to December 2022 Global Head of Structured Finance. From September 2015 to February 2019 General Manager of New York Hub and from October 2006 to August 2015 Head of Real Estate Advisory Practice Banca IMI Milan.

Prior to joining Intesa Sanpaolo he served as Vice President in Lazard Milan from 2002 until 2006 and worked for Andersen Legal from 1997 until 2001 and in Strategic Services of Accenture Milan in 1996.

He holds a Degree in Business Administration and a Master in corporate tax law and accounting from Bocconi University, Milan. He qualified as a chartered accountant. He holds a Master in Finance from London Business School.

Built up over the years a diversified profile with high sophisticated managerial capabilities as well as deal making ones. Led, as a team leader, key M&A transactions, managed various complex business platforms aimed at providing best in class complex solutions to financial needs of sophisticated clients.

Daniela’s experience spans from General Management to Finance and Corporate Governance.

Starting her career in 1992 in Stockholm and then Paris, Daniela has been active within the Luxembourg funds industry since 1997, holding senior Finance and General Management positions.

She joined Royal Bank of Scotland International Luxembourg in February 2024 as Country Head and Head of IB, from Credit Suisse Fund Management Luxembourg, where she was the CEO.

Her previous positions include Crestbridge, where she established the Luxembourg office and 3rd party Management Company services, MDO Services (formerly the Directors’ Office, now Waystone) as CEO/General Manager, and Schroder Investment Management, heading the Finance Department.

Daniela has an extensive knowledge in Funds, including non-financial assets, such as real estate and private equity, as director/manager in private equity and real estate structures, regulated and unregulated and as a member of investment committees.

Mattia Musetti is an Adviser for Luxembourg for Finance (LFF).

Mattia’s role is to advise LFF and its stakeholders on the strategic orientation of the financial centre, specializing on a number of topics including talent, insurance and private equity. He represents the Luxembourg financial industry abroad and helps others understand Luxembourg’s financial services and fund structuring toolbox and the industry in general.

He advises international financial services companies, FinTechs and MNEs to develop and scale up globally their cross-border financial operations through Luxembourg as the gateway to Europe. His geographic focus of attracting financial companies to Luxembourg is global, with specialties in North America, India, Italy, Russia & CIS and Eastern Europe.

As Branch Manager for Luxembourg, Benoit is responsible for developing and executing the integrated strategy of the bank in Luxembourg. He is also Managing Director of Global Transaction Services within Global Corporate and Investment Banking EMEA.

Prior to joining Bank of America, Benoit worked at BNP Paribas Group for 25 years in Luxembourg, Bahrain, and Italy. During this time, he held a number of roles including associate to the Chief Information Officer in Luxembourg, Head of Cash Management, leading the Middle Office of the Corporate Banking division and Head of Cash Management for Middle East and the Southern Africa, based in Bahrain. He then moved to Italy as Head of Cash Management and Forex Fixed Incomes sales team. Benoit returned to Luxembourg in 2017 as Head of Transaction Banking.

In June 2026, Benoit received the honorary title of Knight of the Order of the Oak Crown from the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, recognizing his professional contributions to Luxembourg’s economic and financial development.

Benoit received his Bachelor of Economics from ESSCA Business School (France) and his Master of Science in Information Technology and Telecommunication jointly from the Engineering School of Telecom Paris (France) and the ESSEC Business School (France).

Maxim joined Cargolux in September 2005 as a member of the Finance team and has since held various roles across Aircraft Financing, Corporate Finance, and Corporate Development.

In August 2016, he was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer by the Cargolux Board of Directors. In addition to his CFO responsibilities, he leads the Government & Industry Affairs department and oversees Cargolux’s representation with Airlines for Europe and the European Commission.

During his tenure, Maxim has played a key role in the financing and refinancing of the Boeing 747-8F and 747-400 freighter fleets, as well as other strategic assets. He has been instrumental in structuring a wide range of financing solutions, including export credit financings, senior and unsecured debt (Schuldschein), sale and leaseback structures, JOLCO, leveraged tax leases, PDP financings, aircraft joint venture structures, and Islamic finance arrangements. Most recently, he was closely involved in the next-generation freighter selection process, resulting in an initial order of ten Boeing 777-8 freighters, along with six purchase rights.

In addition to his executive role, Maxim holds several board positions, including within the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, Cargolux Italia, Cargolux Re, and Luxcargo Handling. He also serves as Chairman of CVFuel, a Cargolux subsidiary specializing in aviation fuel supply. Furthermore, he is a member of IATA’s Financial Industry Committee and currently serves as President of the International Affairs Department at the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce.
